Zero Mile Labs (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, CropStand (the “App” or “Application”, the “Service”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by sending a notice to the email address used to login to the App or by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. By continuing to use the App, you agree to such changes.

Collection and Use of Your Personal Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the App depends on the content and materials you use, and includes:

First and last name, Email address

We collect and store your name and email address (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”) when you register for the Service and create a user Account (“Account”). We use this information to uniquely identify you as a user (“Registered User”) on the App and to allow us to tie certain information to your user. We also use this information to reach out to you about changes to this privacy policy or our terms of service, or to provide you with information about the App. We use Hubspot to manage our email communications and as a consequence we have to store your name and email on Hubspot’s servers. If you choose to sign into the App through a Google account, we may access your Google basic account information, including your name and email.

We believe you should have the ability to access and edit the PII that you have provided to us. You may change any of your PII in your account online at any time by linking to your account in accordance with instructions posted elsewhere on this App. You may also access and correct your personal information and privacy preferences by emailing or writing us.

Geo-location information

We may collect the physical location of your device in order to record and publish information on your position and to show your location and products to potential customers who are close to you. You may prevent the App from collecting your device location, but doing so might affect your use of the App.

Pictures of your stand and produce

We collect pictures of your stand and produce in order to publish them on the App and show them to potential customers. You may decide not to upload any pictures while you use the App, but doing so might affect your use of the App. Pictures are stored in AWS, here is a link to their privacy policy: AWS.

Use of Personally Identifiable Information and Data

Please note that any information or images that you post on the App (“Data”) will become public and may be available to other users and the general public. This Data includes:

  • The name of your stand, as well as its physical location
  • Details of products available for sale at your stand like product name, price, and any images you might upload

We may use any of this Data for advertising purposes, including in social media, newsletters and ads in any media. By using the App, you consent to our use of your Data, including the right to edit or otherwise modify your Data.

We will primarily use your PII to provide product or service offerings to you. We will also use certain forms of PII to enhance the operation of our App, improve our internal marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze App use, improve our product and service offerings, and customize our App’s content, layout, and services. We may use PII to deliver information to you and to contact you regarding administrative notices. Finally, we may use your PII to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our agreements with you, including our Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy.

We may also collect certain aggregate information. For example, we may use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers, software, to administer our App and to gather demographic information.

Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide PII to the appropriate governmental authorities. In such cases, we will disclose PII upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.

Push Notifications

We may request your permission to send you push notifications regarding your account or the App. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

Data Retention Policy

We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Where you are a Registered User, we retain Your Data for as long as you remain a Registered User. If you decide to cancel your Account, your Account will be de-activated and Your Data will be deleted.

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

Whenever you use the App, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our App, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

Our App does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the App may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and to be notified when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse cookies, you may not be able to use some features of the App.

Third Party Service Providers

We use a third-party payment service (“Payment Service”) to process payments made through the App. If you wish to make a payment through the App, your personal information may be collected by such third party and not by us, and will be subject to the third party’s privacy policy, rather than this Privacy Policy. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, this third party’s collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information; thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You agree that we are not liable to you for security breaches that result in the disclosure of your Personal Information or Data.

The App may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our App. These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13 years of age. In the case where we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
